Job Description

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • B. Tech in Mining.
  • Should have a minimum of 25 years of total experience in Mining (Open cast & Under Ground) out of which minimum 15 years in Managerial capacity.

Desired experience:

1.

  • The leader is expected to take the lead in expediting all the functions related to Mining activities, mining plan, drawing & design finalization of Open cast & Under- ground Mine in coordination with various stakeholders for successful & timely completion of ongoing mining & strategic mining projects. Provide technical & Geological inputs for finalization of Mining plan/ drawings/ other technical documents for smooth operation of Mine.
  • Overall Management of Open Cast and U/G Mines
  • Mining Lease application preparation, Govt. follow up & getting Leases.
  • Mining Plan & Environmental plan preparation and follow up work.
  • Ensure timely and correct evaluation of mining vendors and bids and participate in techno commercial negotiations to ensure that the contract meets the Business propositions.
  • Ensure successful completion of projects undertaken by Industries Limited and its subsidiaries starting from Conceptualization to planning to implementation.
  • Should be conversant with all the rules & provisions of THE MINES AND MINERALS (DEVELOPMENT AND REGULATION) ACT, 1957.
  • Should be experienced in operating mines, statutory compliances and submission protocols.
  • Should have very good experience in Liaison with government bodies to get proper and necessary approvals.

(a) All decisions related to Mines development, operations, production, maintenance, quality and manpower management.

(b) Formulation of plan for engaging of existing assets to extract best value out of it.

(i) Setting and meeting Budget targets for Mines:

(a) Revenue Budget

(b) WACC

(c) CAPEX Budget targets and ROCE targets on such CAPEX

(ii) Overall coordination and monitoring for Mines of (in coordination with Mines Managers and department Heads):

(a) Supply Chain

(b) Projects

(c) MIS

(d) IR

(e) Liaison with outside agencies along with Government agencies

(f) Provide reasonable support in resource- mobilization and smooth operations.

(g) Coordinate and facilitate in all strategic initiatives of Mines:

  • Develop a strong Mining/ project team giving more emphasis on development of U/G Mine.
  • Resolve any hassles arising out of U/G Mine development & Operations.
  • Ensure Weekly plan is updated in MIS form and reported to the management.

  • Direct the strategic intent of the organization by striving to fulfil the long- term vision.
  • Experienced in mining lease application preparation and getting leases from Government.
  • Lead formulation of Roadmap to fulfil the long- term strategic vision of Mining business.
  • Formulation of plan for engaging of existing assets to extract best value out of it.
  • Adopt best in class technology for operation and better return on investment.

6.

  • Ensure zero accident/ incident in ongoing mining activities & Projects by driving high Safety standards
  • Ensure zero defects in order to ensure optimal level of efficiency in activities related to Mining operations.
  • Ensure the realization of zero non- compliance in all the Ongoing mining activities and projects ensuring strict adherence to statutory and non- statutory guidelines and regulations.

  • Align Business partners to the company vision and goals.
  • Ensure continuous and systematic contact with top management.

8.

  • Ensure the development of future leaders by mentoring team members and delegating assignments to them to ensure the presence of present and future competent leaders.
  • Ensure continuous engagement with stakeholders in order to bring buy-in for deliverables.

9.

  • He should be experienced in estimating Mining Projects costs, MIS and prepare Project schedules and should have knowledge of Billing procedures.
  • Must possess strong leadership skills to work both independently as well as lead the team.
