Job Description

As an ER Advisor at Goldman Sachs, you will be a part of the Employee Relations team within the Human Capital Management division. Your role will involve advising and coaching managers and employees on various aspects of the employment relationship, working towards protecting and supporting the firm's culture while adhering to firm policies and legal standards. You will play a crucial role in handling sensitive workplace situations and providing workable solutions on a diverse range of issues. - Handle HR investigations to ensure resolution in compliance with policies. - Act as a senior contact for disciplinary actions, escalations, and issue remediation. - Provide guidance to managers on employment-related matters such as performance management, disciplinary actions, terminations, and business restructurings. - Investigate allegations of unfair or unlawful treatment and inappropriate behavior. - Counsel individual employees on office problems and advise on health and personal issues affecting work. - Oversee adherence to firm policies including the use of firm resources and protection of confidential information. - Manage all terminations and implement severance policy. - Assist in formulating, interpreting, and communicating policies related to employee relations issues. - Conduct training programs to educate employees on firm policies regarding employee relations matters. - Collaborate with internal and external legal counsel as needed to resolve employee issues. - Contribute to stabilizing, motivating, and fostering a strong Goldman Sachs culture within teams. - Highly motivated HR professional or Employment Lawyer with a strong understanding of employment issues and a track record of: - 9+ years of relevant work experience in HR and Employee Relations. - Managing complex issues, identifying risks, and driving resolutions. - Utilizing analytical, teamwork, and project management skills for thorough investigations. - Developing relationships at all levels and acting in an advisory role. - Bringing diverse groups to a common resolution through negotiation and facilitation. - Approaching issues strategically and navigating unforeseen obstacles. - Listening actively, thinking creatively, and delivering pragmatic solutions. - Demonstrating approachability and empathy for employees to raise concerns comfortably. - Possessing strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.,
