Vice President - Banking Product Control

As a Vice President in Banking Product Control at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the Line PC team to ensure the completeness and accuracy of books and records, including P&L and Balance Sheet substantiation. Your responsibilities will involve monitoring trading activity for compliance with policies, providing technical and operational analysis to management, and collaborating with various business units and infrastructure areas. Key Responsibilities: - Reconciliation of daily profit and loss (P&L) figures for trading desks to ensure alignment with valued positions in the trading book - Support in identifying, assessing, and mitigating trading risks, reporting on financial risks to senior colleagues - Maintenance and analysis of trading data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency - Preparation and submission of regulatory reports, support in external audits, and effective communication of financial information - Collaboration across functions to ensure a coordinated approach to trading activities Qualifications Required: - Product control experience in an Investment bank - In-depth knowledge of financial products and markets in relevant asset classes - Understanding of end-to-end processes in Investment Banking and associated controls - Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to interact with global teams - Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize effectively Barclays emphasizes the importance of key critical skills such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology proficiency.
