Vice President, Accounting

As Vice President, Accounting at BNY, you will play a crucial role in monitoring Month end close activities/variance analysis and General Ledger Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations. Your responsibilities will include: - Overseeing the Journal entry process and Blackline General ledger reconciliations. - Conducting Month end closing of Books of accounts, working on various Sub-ledgers, Accounting Knowledge, Balance sheet Reconciliation & Reporting activities. - Demonstrating excellent knowledge and expertise in month end close, Accrual & Prepaid, variance analysis, Lease Accounting. - Understanding the Agreements/Statement of works and determining the accounting implications. - Reviewing journal entries, substantiating supporting documentation, and general ledger balance sheet account reconciliations. - Taking decisions and escalating issues to the local/onshore management. - Proactively identifying unique business scenarios, formulating and implementing process improvements, and providing analytical support for audits and special projects. - Being a self-starter, passionate, and a good communicator to establish relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions. - Building relationships with stakeholders and deploying best practices for process improvement. Qualifications required for this role are: - 12+ years of experience in Record to Report (R2R - General Accounting). - M.Com / MBA / CWA-Inter / CA-inter with 10+ years of post-qualification experience or CA, CPA, or CWA with 6+ years of post-qualification experience. - Good written and oral communications skills. - Strong finance and accounting skills. - Strong problem-solving skills. - Ability to handle clients, preferably Overseas Clients. - Experience in Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI), Investment Management, and Investment services is preferable.
