Vendor Development Engineer

Job Role :

1. Purchase of manufacturing items adhering to BBS Automation global purchase policy.

2. Responsible for P2P process for cost-effective procurement & Issuance of purchase orders through ERP of manufacturing items.

3. Studying and distributing drawings to suppliers as per their capacities.

4. Preparation & take managers approval on comparison sheets of new manufacturing items.

5. Costing all manufacturing parts for operations like machining, turning, milling, sheet metal & fabrication parts etc.

6. Vendors management including regular visit to their plants to ensure timely deliveries.

7. New product development & vendor management.

8. Updated project progress on a daily basis against established schedules and budgets.

9. Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify potential vendors, assess their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.

10. Track and monitor supplier performance, including delivery schedules, product quality, and adherence to contractual obligations.

11. Help in ISO documents preparation & face internal audits.

12. Resolve any supplier-related issues, such as delayed shipments, quality concerns, or discrepancies in invoicing.

13. Stay updated with market trends, new products, and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier diversification.

14. Participate in the Continuous Improvement Process with cross functional teams.

15. Handling of services purchase requisition & on time arrangement of them.
