Design Engineer

Job Description

1. Designing of Special Purpose Machine [SPM] OR Assembly Automation. 2. Designing of Jig & Fixture. 3. Concept building & layout preparation as per customer requirements. 4. Knowledge of Pneumatic circuit design & Selection of pneumatic components. 5. Knowledge of Drive selection (Servo & Induction motors & gearbox selection) 6. Capable to do Design calculations & selection of standards bought out items. 7. Knowledge of Auto CAD& any other Solid Modelling Designing Package (Solid work) 8. Good knowledge of General Tolerance [GD&T]&2D/3D drawing. 9. Should be Familiar with manufacturing processes including machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding fabrication, casting & heat treatment 10. Designing of Multi gauging fixtures will be an added advantage& preferred. 11. Design and development of mechanical components from concept through production. 12. Take leadership of mechanical design in an automation project. 13. Thorough design analysis and optimization of mechanical components including considerations of design for manufacturing and cost. 14. Plan and manage mechanical design schedule. 15. Conduct design reviews and provide design guidance to junior engineers. 16. Interface with customers and functional owners on mechanical design issues. 17. Responsible to complete design assembly drawings and details part drawings. 18. Checking of drawings and preparation of Bill of Materials (BOM). 19. Must prepare to travel locally and overseas. 20. Be aware of the risks and opportunities related to the job assigned.
