As part of the Data Platform within the Market Insights division, we are looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about development and has a strong understanding of operational aspects. Our goal is to maintain and replace a legacy software solution, a VB6 desktop client application specifically designed for enterprise level data processing. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain a legacy client application that implements the user interface for our data warehouse production pipeline system, ensure its maintainability (in case of bugs and hot fixes), and introduce support features for smooth decommissioning driven by configuration at runtime. You will:Dive deep into our technical domain to understand why we have built things and how to keep them running Manage and maintain interfaces and dependencies with other teams and systems Write efficient, robust and high-quality production level code Ensure components are delivered to high standards with automated quality assurance and reduced maintenance effort Manage and maintain technical debt and provide technical project/feature documentation to facilitate future hand-overs You have:5+ years relevant job experience in software development and desktop client application development StrongVB6application developmentknowledge Strongknowledgeonrelational database management systems(preferably Oracle) Prior experience working with and on CI/CD pipeline Fluency in English Diploma in Computer-Science or comparable working experience Nice-to-have:Fullstack development motivation Experience in C++ to maintain the back-end as well as the front-end Working knowledge with source control systems like Azure DevOps and TFVC Octopus-based deployment and release pipeline maintenance Citrix application hosting infrastructure experience Named Job Posting?
