Value Education Teacher

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct Value Education Classes

  • Facilitate engaging and age-appropriate value education sessions for primary students (Classes I–V).
  • Teach moral values, character building, life skills, and responsible behavior.

2. Design Customized Value-Based Programs

  • Identify the developmental needs of each class.
  • Develop structured programs that instill respect, empathy, honesty, gratitude, kindness, and responsibility.

3. Deliver Effective Instruction

  • Use storytelling, role-plays, real-life examples, visual aids, and interactive activities.
  • Demonstrate how values can be practiced in everyday life.

4. Create a Safe & Inclusive Classroom Environment

  • Foster a positive, respectful, and non-judgmental learning atmosphere.
  • Encourage students to express their thoughts, share experiences, and participate actively.

5. Provide Guidance & Motivation

  • Motivate students to embrace values and make ethical decisions.
  • Support children in developing confidence, resilience, and emotional well-being.

6. Teach Value Systems & Life Skills

  • Educate students on social, cultural, and universal human values.
  • Promote mindfulness, teamwork, gratitude, stress management, and holistic development.

7. Curriculum & Syllabus Planning

  • Collaborate with the Program Head to develop annual lesson plans and activity schedules.
  • Align content with the school’s ethos, values, and educational goals.

8. Parent Collaboration

  • Conduct parent orientation sessions on value education.
  • Participate in PTMs, workshops, and parent–child programs to reinforce values at home.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills
  • Ability to connect with young children
  • Creative teaching methods and interactive facilitation skills
  • Empathy, patience, and a child-centered approach
  • Understanding of value systems, emotional intelligence, and life skills
  • Classroom management and positive discipline

Qualification & Experience

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline (Psychology, Social Work preferred)
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience working with children in teaching, training, counseling, or value education
  • Experience in conducting workshops/activities for young learners is an added advantage
