Job Description / Duties and Responsibilities
UX Strategy and Leadership
- Define and implement UX strategy for complex digital platforms.
- Translate business objectives and user insights into actionable design strategies and measurable outcomes.
- Conduct competitive benchmarking to identify opportunities and set experience standards.
- Define UX success metrics and KPIs for usability, engagement, and experience quality.
- Integrate UX strategy into Agile workflows for continuous improvement and rapid iteration.
- Establish and maintain accessibility guidelines ensuring inclusive and compliant designs.
- Lead design critiques, UX reviews, and A/B testing to validate hypotheses.
- Implement UX governance and DesignOps practices to ensure consistency and quality.
Research and User-Centered Design
- Conduct user research, discovery sessions, and usability testing to uncover user needs and pain points.
- Perform heuristic evaluations and use analytics, insights, and feedback to drive decisions.
- Translate research findings into personas, task analyses, journey maps, and KPIs.
- Create end-to-end user journey maps and personas to visualize and optimize experiences.
- Define information architecture, navigation models, taxonomies, and content hierarchies.
- Design interaction patterns, flows, states, and behaviors including edge cases and accessibility.
- Align UX models with backend systems while abstracting complexity from users.
- Create wireframes, flows, prototypes, and interaction models aligned with business and user goals.
- Design scalable, flexible, localized solutions with long-term usability in mind.
- Plan for permissions, large data volumes, offline support, and progressive enhancement.
- Embed accessibility standards, regulatory requirements, and risk controls into workflows.
UX Documentation
- Create and maintain personas, journey maps, IA diagrams, and design guidelines.
- Develop architecture documentation aligning UX with product, engineering, and compliance needs.
- Ensure design intent is accurately implemented through collaboration with UI and development teams.
Collaboration and Communication
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops to align on UX goals, insights, and priorities.
- Present UX architecture and rationale to product, engineering, and leadership teams.
- Communicate UX vision and strategy clearly to cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders.
- Review design deliverables and promote UX best practices across teams.
Mentorship and Continuous Learning
- Mentor designers to strengthen strategic thinking, design process, and problem-solving skills.
- Stay updated on emerging UX trends, tools, and technologies.
Required Skills & Experience - Experience working with customer managers and stakeholders to understand needs and deliver solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions and value.
- Experience managing small to medium-sized teams, including delegation and performance support.
- Strong expertise in wireframing and prototyping tools.
- Solid understanding of UX research, UX design, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
