User Interface Design Head

As the Head of User Interface Design at Digitas, you will play a crucial role in shaping the creative output of the agency by leading the UI practice. Your responsibilities will include setting the vision, direction, and creative standard for interface and visual design across the agency, translating brand strategy into expressive, modern, and scalable digital ecosystems, and building a high-performing UI team. You will also be responsible for designing modular, component-based UI frameworks, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and establishing best practices to elevate the design culture at the organization. Additionally, you will need to stay updated on trends in digital, tech, and visual culture to drive innovation in your work. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the UI Design Function by setting the vision, direction, and creative standard for interface and visual design - Shape the Work by translating brand strategy into digital ecosystems that are expressive, modern, and scalable - Build & Mentor the Team by hiring, developing, and inspiring a high-performing UI team - Create Scalable Systems by designing modular, component-based UI frameworks - Partner Across Disciplines by collaborating closely with UX, tech, creative, and strategy teams - Elevate Design Culture by establishing best practices, design QA, and rituals that raise the bar for visual craft and consistency - Drive Innovation by staying updated on trends in digital, tech, and visual culture Qualifications Required: - 7+ years of experience in design with a focus on interface, visual systems, and digital-first brand experiences - Strong foundation in brand and communication design from high-quality studios or consultancies - Portfolio demonstrating exceptional UI design, modern aesthetics, and systems thinking across digital platforms - Proven leadership experience in building and growing design teams, leading large projects, and influencing creative direction - Deep fluency in tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Principle, After Effects, and an understanding of design implementation in code - Point of view on designs evolving role in user experience, product thinking, and cultural relevance - Ability to inspire teams, influence stakeholders, and lead with vision and empathy,
