About the role

We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to join Honda’s next phase of digital product and experience innovation in India. This is a permanent position starting May 2026, with a 6‑month remote contract to begin immediately.

During the contract phase, you’ll be working on high‑impact UX design projects, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and playing a key role in shaping Honda’s brand and product experience for the Indian and Japanese markets.

What you will do

• Lead UX design for mobility services, in-vehicle digital interfaces, and customer-facing platforms.
• Drive design thinking, wireframes, user research, and prototypes that resonate with Indian users.
• Collaborate remotely with our Tokyo-based team and contribute to strategic UX projects.
• Transition into a full-time permanent role starting May 2026 based in Bangalore.

Your Profile

• 4+ years of UX experience in digital, mobility, or product design.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Machine Interaction, or a related field
• Strong portfolio with user-centered projects, especially localized for Indian audiences.
• Proficiency in Design Thinking and User Research methodologies
• Strong skills in Visual Design and User Experience (UX)
• Experience in Prototyping and iterative design processes
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Experience in the automotive or mobility industry is a plus
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Japanese is an advantage

Hiring Process

• Creative Workshop (Mid-November, Bangalore):

  In-person session with other candidates to evaluate your design thinking and team collaboration.

• Design & HR Interviews (Online):

  Online follow-up focused on skills and fit.

• Contract Period (Dec 2025–April 2026):

  Remote, full-time role as a Senior UX Designer, compensated and assigned to Honda’s facility in Bangalore.

• Permanent Transition (May 2026):

  Seamless transfer into full-time position, Bangalore-based, continuing the same role and responsibilities.

Compensation

Base Salary: ₹15 - ₹24lakhs pa
