User Acceptance Tester I

Role Overview: As a User Acceptance Tester at Electronic Arts, you will play a crucial role in delivering solutions to players and fans. Your responsibilities will include reviewing UAT use cases, recording results, documenting defects, and managing changes to ensure the resolution of issues. It is essential to always represent the end user perspective, voicing concerns to guarantee that user needs are met while aligning with business requirements. This role will also involve developing hands-on skills and utilizing end-to-end knowledge of the release process within Fan Care. The skills, processes, and knowledge gained in this position are relevant and applicable to many major development industry certifications. You will report to the UAT Manager and have a wide range of responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Review UAT use cases, record results, document defects, and manage changes - Represent the end user perspective, voicing concerns to ensure user needs are met - Develop hands-on skills and utilize end-to-end knowledge of the release process within Fan Care - Translate and write test scripts from the UAT perspective, including converting business documents like BRD or TRD into end user requirements - Use testing methodologies such as end-to-end, exploratory, and regression testing - Be comfortable with Agile and Waterfall methodologies - Maintain daily communication on team progress and individual blockers or needs - Utilize various testing tools and platforms such as Zephyr, JIRA, Jenkins, and current-gen consoles Qualifications Required: - At least 6 months of experience in software development testing - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience - Familiarity with bug and test case tracking tools like JIRA and Zephyr - Proficient understanding of the development lifecycle, QA lifecycle, user experience, and testing methodologies - Strong problem-solving skills, time management abilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to translate business or IT requirements into test cases - High degree of autonomy while also collaborating effectively with a team Note: Electronic Arts offers an extensive portfolio of games and experiences, opportunities for growth, and a holistic approach to benefits programs that emphasize various aspects of wellness.
