Job Title: US Tax Preparer

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced US Tax Preparer to prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of US tax laws, compliance requirements, and deadlines, along with the ability to work accurately under pressure during peak tax seasons.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file US federal and state tax returns (Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, etc.)
• Analyze financial statements and tax documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide tax planning support
• Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and updated tax laws
• Handle amended returns, extensions, and tax notices
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation
• Coordinate with internal teams and clients to collect required information
• Meet strict deadlines during tax season
• Support audits and respond to IRS/state inquiries if required

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1–5 years of experience in US tax preparation (based on role level)
• Strong knowledge of US tax laws, IRS regulations, and compliance
• Hands-on experience with tax software (e.g., Drake, UltraTax, ProSeries, Lacerte, CCH Axcess)
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting tools
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• EA (Enrolled Agent) or CPA (preferred but not mandatory)
• Experience working with US-based clients
• Knowledge of tax planning and advisory services

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Ahmedabad, Gujarat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• US Taxation: 2 years (Preferred)
