US State and Local Tax, Senior

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an FSO- SALT WAM Senior. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of relevant experience in State and local taxes, with a strong background in finance, numerical, or statistical fields. ### Roles and Responsibility Develop, mentor, and supervise Analysts and Advanced Analysts. Act as a counselor for Analysts and Advanced Analysts, proactively recognizing issues and recommending solutions. Foster collaboration and constructive communication within the team. Demonstrate basic presentation and public speaking skills, actively participating in meetings. Communicate effectively in face-to-face situations, by phone, and via email, adapting communication strategies based on the situation. Take ownership of your schedule and proactively seek work to meet your annual chargeability goal. Adhere to practice protocol and other internal processes consistently. Explore opportunities for rotation. ### Job Requirements Graduate/Post graduate in finance, numerical, or statistical background. EA certification is an added advantage. 3-4 years of relevant experience in State and local taxes. Strong knowledge of state tax compliance, recent tax reforms, and their impact on various state jurisdictions. Experience in identifying process improvement opportunities and ensuring the use of methodologies, tools, and technology specific to tax. In-depth knowledge of using Go-systems, understanding of State Withholding and Composite returns, and strong knowledge about state nexus concepts, apportionment methods, unitary, combined, and consolidated filings. Ability to identify engagement issues, resolve them, and bring them to the attention of Assistant Managers or Managers. Demonstrate consistent commitment and optimism towards work challenges, maintaining focus on work products and holding others accountable for timely completion of high-quality work. Show urgency in responding to clients and team needs, focusing team members on key quality drivers for work assignments and building positive relationships with internal professionals and client personnel by demonstrating integrity and genuineness.
