Job Description

Attend daily morning and evening ward rounds with the Urology team.

Assist and perform ward-based procedures including:

o Catheter care and changes

o Bladder irrigation and washouts

o Drain and suture removals

Follow all procedures as instructed by medical staff.

Administer intravesical Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy.

Currently scheduled for Mondays and Fridays, with the potential for expansion.

Ensure proper documentation and patient monitoring during treatment.

Ensure accurate test performance and assist in reporting findings.

4. Out-Patient Department (OPD) Services

Assist clinicians in the OPD with procedures such as:

o Catheter removal and exchanges

o Bladder washouts and scans

o Clean intermittent self-catheterization (CISC) guidance

Provide patient navigation and assist with administrative tasks to streamline patient flow.

Assist in various surgical procedures including:

o Open, Endoscopic, Laparoscopic, and Robotic surgeries

o TRUS (Transrectal Ultrasound) biopsy

Work collaboratively with OT nurses and technologists.

6. Administrative Duties

Maintain attendance and teaching registers.

Provide general secretarial and administrative support to the Urology department.

7. Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Meetings

Attend MDT meetings to provide administrative assistance.

Participate as a learner to enhance knowledge and understanding of Urology care planning.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Diploma or Bachelor s degree in Allied Health/Urology Technology or related field.

Experience in a urology or surgical setting preferred.

Knowledge of urological equipment and procedures.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new clinical protocols and technologies.
