Urgent Requirement For Principal of a Medical College

The Principal will be the academic and administrative head of the medical college and is responsible for leading its strategic direction, managing its day-to-day operations, ensuring academic excellence, and complying with all statutory and regulatory guidelines laid down by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and other relevant authorities. Key Responsibilities: Academic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to develop academic excellence. Ensure the implementation of the medical curriculum as per NMC regulations. Promote research, innovation, and professional development among faculty and students. Monitor academic standards, teaching quality, and student performance. Administrative Oversight: Supervise overall administration, including academic, finance, human resources, infrastructure, and student affairs. Coordinate with departments to ensure efficient functioning and inter-departmental collaboration. Lead faculty recruitment, performance reviews, and professional development initiatives. Ensure timely scheduling and smooth conduct of examinations, results, and convocation. Compliance & Accreditation: Ensure compliance with all NMC, and affiliated university norms. Facilitate inspections, approvals, and renewals from regulatory bodies. Maintain documentation and reports required for audits and accreditation. Student & Faculty Affairs: Maintain a conducive and inclusive academic environment for students and faculty. Address grievances and disciplinary issues fairly and transparently. Encourage faculty involvement in research, conferences, and continued education. Strategic Planning & Development: Drive the vision and mission of the institution. Liaise with hospitals, universities, and other medical institutions for collaborations. Develop long-term plans for academic expansion, infrastructure, and research. Qualifications & Experience: MBBS with Postgraduate qualification (MD/MS or equivalent). At least 10 years of teaching experience as Professor / Associate Professor in a medical college. Must meet the eligibility criteria as per NMC (National Medical Commission) guidelines. Proven leadership and administrative experience in a senior academic role.
