Job Description Tele-Sales Executive (Life & Health Insurance)

Position:

Role Summary

The Tele-Sales Executive will be responsible for generating sales of life and health insurance products through outbound calling, handling customer queries, and ensuring high levels of conversion and customer satisfaction. The role requires excellent communication, sales orientation, and a customer-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to potential and existing customers to promote life and health insurance products.
  
• Explain product features, benefits, and eligibility clearly to customers.
  
• Generate leads, follow up, and convert them into policy sales.
  
• Handle customer queries and provide accurate information about policies, premiums, and claim processes.
  
• Achieve assigned sales targets (policies issued, premium collected, conversion ratio).
  
• Maintain customer data in CRM systems and ensure timely follow-ups.
  
• Promote renewals and cross-sell other insurance products when applicable.
  
• Ensure adherence to IRDAI regulations and company policies during all interactions.
  

Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

• Daily/weekly number of calls made.
  
• Lead conversion ratio.
  
• Premium collected and policies issued.
  
• Renewal/conversion rates.
  
• Customer satisfaction and call quality scores.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• Education:

  Graduate in any discipline (12th pass with relevant experience may also be considered).

• Experience:

  0–3 years in tele-sales / call center sales (insurance/BFSI preferred).

• Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent verbal communication and persuasion skills.
  
• Sales-driven and target-oriented.
  
• Good listening and objection-handling ability.
  
• Customer-focused approach.
  
• Basic computer & CRM knowledge.
