Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Tax Consultant with experience in GST, Direct Tax (DT), Labour Compliance, and tax audits. The ideal candidate will be a semi-qualified or fully qualified CA with expertise in managing tax assessments, returns, audits, and ensuring compliance with labour laws. This role will involve strategic tax advisory, handling complex tax issues, and ensuring statutory compliance across multiple domains.

Key Responsibilities:

1. GST & Direct Tax Compliance:

• GST Advisory & Compliance: Ensure timely filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9), manage audits, and handle disputes with tax authorities.
• Direct Tax Compliance: Oversee preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns, manage tax assessments and tax audits (including Section 44AB), and advise on transfer pricing and tax optimization.

2. Tax Audits & Assessments:

• Manage tax audits for both Income Tax and GST, ensuring full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Handle tax assessments, respond to notices from tax authorities, and resolve disputes through proper documentation and representation.

3. Labour Compliance:

• Oversee compliance with key labour laws including EPF, ESI, Gratuity, Bonus, Labour Welfare Fund, and Minimum Wages Act.
• Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and remittances related to labour compliance.
• Advise on issues such as employee benefits, wage structures, and statutory requirements in line with current labour regulations.

4. Tax Planning & Strategy:

• Provide strategic advice on tax planning, structuring transactions (e.g., mergers, acquisitions), and identifying opportunities for tax savings.
• Ensure tax efficiency in business operations and assist with transfer pricing documentation.

5. Documentation & Reporting:

• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate documentation for GST returns, Income Tax filings, tax audits, and labour compliance.
• Ensure all tax and compliance filings meet deadlines and regulatory standards.

6. Team Leadership & Coordination:

• Lead and mentor junior tax professionals, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
• Coordinate with Finance, Legal, and HR teams to ensure integrated compliance across departments.

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

• Education:
• Semi-qualified (3-5 Years experience) or Fully Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) (1-2 years’ experience).
• Knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance.
• Experience:
• 1-2 years of experience in GST, Income Tax, Labour Compliance, and tax audits.
• Experience in handling tax audits, tax assessments, and labour law compliance.

Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of GST, Income Tax, Labour Laws, and Tax Audits.
• Proficiency in tax software and labour compliance tools.
• Expertise in Tally, Excel
• Soft Skills:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
