Industrial Automation Engineer:

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain PLC programs for automated control systems, ensuring seamless integration with motion control and servo drive components.
2. Configure and calibrate servo drives, ensuring accurate positioning and synchronization of machinery.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide technical expertise for automation solutions.
4. Troubleshoot and debug control systems, motion control, and servo drive issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximizing production efficiency.
5. Conduct testing and commissioning of automation systems, validating their performance and reliability.
6. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to PLC, motion control, and servo drive programming.
7. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize existing processes and enhance system performance.
8. Document all programming and configuration changes, maintaining comprehensive records for future reference.
9. Train and support other team members in using and maintaining automation systems.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic, Instrumentation or related field (or equivalent work experience).
2. 1-2 years of hands-on experience in programming PLCs and motion control systems, including servo drives.
3. Proficiency in programming languages such as C, Ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagram.
4. In-depth knowledge of motion control principles and experience with various types of servo drives.
5. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, PROFIBUS) for seamless integration.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
7. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
8. Prior experience in industrial automation projects within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
9. Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines.

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with SEW / Delta / Yaskawa / Siemens / Panasonic PLCs and drives.
