Description
The Civil Site Engineer This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the design, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure projects. Under the supervision of senior engineers, the junior engineer will assist in various tasks related to surveying, drafting, designing, and ensuring compliance with construction standards and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design and drafting of civil engineering projects, including roads, water systems, and buildings. Support senior engineers in preparing construction documents, technical reports, and project specifications. Conduct site visits to assess construction progress, assist in surveying, and ensure projects are on schedule and within budget. Help in the preparation and review of structural and civil design calculations. Assist in obtaining permits and ensuring that projects comply with local building codes and regulations. Contribute to the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and project schedules. Collaborate with other departments and teams, including architects, contractors, and project managers, to ensure smooth project execution. Participate in the selection of materials and equipment for construction projects. Assist with quality control and inspection activities to ensure that work complies with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Update and maintain project documentation, including plans, progress reports, and inspection logs. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (required). Additional coursework or certification in project management, AutoCAD, or other civil engineering software is a plus. Skills: Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction techniques. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) for drafting and design. Basic understanding of structural design, materials, and soil mechanics. Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental laws. Good communication skills for preparing reports and collaborating with team members. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
