Position:

Role Summary

The Unit HR is responsible for managing end-to-end HR operations at the hospital unit, ensuring smooth manpower availability, statutory compliance, employee engagement, and alignment with organizational HR policies. The role acts as a key HR partner for nursing, paramedical, and non-clinical teams at the unit.

Key Responsibilities

A. Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Drive unit-specific hiring for nursing and support staff.
  • Coordinate screenings, interviews, selection, and offer rollouts.
  • Facilitate onboarding, documentation verification, and unit-level induction.

B. Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Maintain employee records, attendance, shift rosters, and leave management.
  • Manage probation reviews, confirmations, transfers, and separations.
  • Ensure smooth exit formalities and coordinate with central HR for clearances.

C. HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to statutory requirements: PF, ESIC, CLRA, minimum wages, etc.
  • Maintain statutory registers, records, and coordinate audits (NABH/JCI/statutory).
  • Ensure compliance for outsourced staff and manpower vendors.

D. Employee Relations & Grievance Handling

  • Act as the first point of contact for grievances and disciplinary issues.
  • Conduct investigations and document resolutions.
  • Maintain a positive work culture and foster communication between teams.

E. Performance Management

  • Ensure timely execution of performance appraisals and reviews.
  • Support HODs in PIP (Performance Improvement Plans) and performance documentation.
  • Maintain unit-level performance trackers.

F. Manpower Planning & Deployment

  • Track active, inactive, in-training, and attrition numbers for nursing and support staff.
  • Support unit operations with workforce planning and Hiring.
  • Coordinate with central HR and Service Delivery for deployment updates.

G. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports on hiring, attrition, attendance, grievances, and training.
  • Maintain HR dashboards and present updates to leadership.
  • Ensure accurate and audit-ready documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education:

    MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent.
  • Experience:

    5-10 years of Recruitment & operations experience (preferably hospital/healthcare sector).
  • Hands-on experience with HRMS systems and statutory compliance.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare HR policies and statutory norms.
  • Problem-solving, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle employee concerns professionally.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems.
