Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Process UI claims, protests, and appeals in compliance with company policies and state regulations
Collaborate with field operations and recruiters to gather necessary documentation for claims defense
Investigate claim validity, gather necessary documentation, and respond to state UI agencies
Ensure responses comply with state-specific unemployment laws and employer guidelines
Prepare protest letters and appeals for disputed claims
Track and report claim trends, identifying opportunities to reduce UI costs and improve processes
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UI laws, regulatory changes, and best practices
Identify fraudulent or incorrect claims and escalate as needed
Maintain organized and detailed records of all claims, appeals, and determinations for audits and reporting
Work closely with HR, payroll, and compliance teams to ensure accurate claim handling
Partner with legal and risk management teams to support UI hearings and complex claims
Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate job separation documentation
Support internal training efforts related to UI claims and best practices
