UK Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

 Finalizing accounts for UK-based clients, including:

- Journal entries

- Profit & Loss statements

- Balance sheets

Annual accounts and supporting reports in line with HMRC and Companies House guidelines

🔁 Reconciling:

- Bank accounts

- VAT control accounts

- PAYE and NIC balances

Other financial control accounts

💼 Preparing and filing:

- Corporation tax returns

- CT600 forms

Filing with HMRC and Companies House

📊 Preparing and submitting:

- VAT returns (quarterly & annual)

- Self-assessment tax returns, including:

- Income tax

- Dividend tax

Rental income assessments

⏱️ Ensuring accurate and timely:

- Filing of payroll, VAT, and final accounts

- Submissions via HMRC online portal and MTD (Making Tax Digital) systems

🧩 Managing new client onboarding:

- Handling pressure and tight deadlines

- Maintaining high accuracy and quality standards during transition

📞 Communicating with HMRC:

- Comfortable with UK accents

- Handling calls to HMRC helplines effectively

📆 Performing:

- Year-end closing

Complete bookkeeping for UK clients

📈 Supporting business development:

- Generating leads from internal databases and tools

- Assisting in client conversion and growth strategies.
