Role Overview: At Sigmoid Analytics, Bengaluru, you will be a skilled UI/UX Designer working on diverse data visualization projects across various industries. Your focus will be on creating interactive and effective visualizations to enhance data comprehension and reduce cognitive load for users. Key Responsibilities: - Design Interactive Data Visualizations: Understand user workflows and needs to create engaging and functional visualizations. - Simplify Complex Data: Develop clear and intuitive visualizations that make complex data easy to understand. - Utilize User Personas: Optimize data visualization designs based on user personas to enhance the user experience. - Develop Storyboards and Prototypes: Communicate design concepts and user flows effectively through storyboards and prototypes. - Iterate Based on Feedback: Refine visualization designs based on user and stakeholder feedback to ensure accuracy and usability. - Craft Meaningful User Experiences: Apply user experience design principles to deliver relevant insights through visualizations. - Focus on Aesthetic and Functional Design: Design visually appealing interfaces while maintaining optimal functionality. - Ensure Design Consistency: Implement best practices for consistent design across all data visualizations. - Perform Related Design Tasks: Support project goals by handling additional design-related tasks as needed. Qualifications Required: - 3-5 years of demonstrated experience as a UI/UX Designer, with a portfolio showcasing successful data visualization projects. - Experience in designing data visualizations or complex interfaces. - Experience in BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio. - Understanding of front-end development technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript). - Expertise in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and/or other similar tools. - Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies, focusing on intuitive data visualizations. - Proven ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, data engineers, and data scientists. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate design concepts and rationale clearly.
