Job Summary

We are seeking a talented UI/UX Designer with 1-3 years of professional experience to join our Digital Innovation team. In this role, you will contribute to enhancing the user experience of Rama University's digital ecosystem, including our website, student portals, mobile applications, and internal tools. Your work will focus on creating intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling interfaces that align with the university's mission of educational excellence and user-centric innovation. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic academic environment, driving meaningful improvements in how students, faculty, and stakeholders interact with our platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement in digital interfaces.

- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using industry-standard tools to translate user needs into effective designs.

- Collaborate with developers, content creators, and stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation of UI/UX designs across web and mobile platforms.

- Design responsive and accessible interfaces that adhere to best practices for inclusivity, particularly for diverse user groups such as students, faculty, and administrative staff.

- Iterate on designs based on feedback, analytics, and A/B testing to optimize user engagement and satisfaction.

- Contribute to the maintenance and evolution of the university's design system, ensuring consistency in branding and visual identity.

- Stay abreast of emerging trends in UI/UX design, particularly in educational technology, and propose innovative solutions to enhance digital learning experiences.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.

- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in UI/UX design, preferably in an educational, e-learning, or digital services context.

- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or InVision, with a strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design projects.

- Solid understanding of user experience principles, including information architecture, interaction design, and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).

- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and prototyping tools; experience with user testing methodologies is advantageous.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively in a team setting.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

- Familiarity with agile development processes and collaboration tools like Jira or Trello.

- Experience designing for mobile-first or progressive web apps.

- Knowledge of educational platforms (e.g., LMS systems like Moodle) or data visualization for academic reporting.

- Certification in UI/UX design (e.g., Google UX Design Certificate) is a plus.
