UI Designer

You will be responsible for developing cutting-edge, interactive web applications and coding beautiful XHTML/CSS web pages and interfaces. Your role will involve daily website updates and maintenance, as well as monitoring and optimizing page download/rendering speeds. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and exciting startup environment. Ideal candidates for this position should have 6 months to 1 year of experience in designing web pages. A Bachelor's Degree in Commercial Arts/Communications or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is desired. You should have proven expertise in hand-coded web design and production, with proficiency in HTML, XHTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and the DOM. Knowledge of XML, XSL, XSLT, XMLHttp, and VBScript is a plus. Mastery of W3C web standards and specifications, along with a solid understanding of browser compatibility issues, is essential for this role. Proficiency with Photoshop, Flash, and Illustrator is preferred. You should have an excellent sense of clean design, strong communication skills, and attention to detail.
