Role Description

Typist & Stenographer

Qualifications

• Minimum typing speed of 60–70 words per minute

   for direct computer typing (mandatory)
• Excellent typing and audio-typing proficiency with strong accuracy
• Strong clerical and organisational skills, including document handling and file management
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with lawyers, staff, and clients
• Solid computer literacy, especially in word-processing software and basic legal tools
• High attention to detail and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
• Prior experience in a law firm or familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage
• Minimum educational qualification: High School diploma or equivalent; certification in typing or stenography is preferred
