Job Title: Truck Driver Department: Logistics / Transportation Reports To: Logistics Supervisor Location: BANGALORE Job Summary:We are looking for a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to transport goods safely and efficiently to assigned destinations. The ideal candidate should have a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL), excellent driving skills, and a strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:Operate and drive trucks (light/heavy) to transport goods and materials to and from specified destinations. Ensure timely pickup and delivery of goods according to the assigned schedule. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness. Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery records, and trip reports. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods. Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers. Report any mechanical issues, delays, or accidents immediately. Keep the vehicle clean, maintained, and in good working condition. Qualifications and Skills:Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class [A/B/C as applicable]. Proven experience as a truck driver (minimum [2] years preferred). Good knowledge of road safety regulations and local/national routes. Ability to handle long hours and flexible schedules. Physical ability to load/unload goods when required. Strong time management and communication skills. Clean driving record with no major traffic violations. Education:High School Diploma or equivalent. Additional driving or logistics certifications are an advantage. Working Conditions:May involve long-distance or overnight trips. Exposure to varying weather conditions.
