KEY PURPOSE OF THE JOB (POSITION SUMMARY)

The position is responsible for handling all matters relating to Treasury for the organization. Treasury Manager needs to ensure efficient day-to-day treasury operations and be responsible for Cash Management, FX dealing, Cash forecasting, and Treasury Projects The role is responsible for safeguarding best interest of the company and has to ensure appropriate handling of all treasury activities. In addition to this, the role will keep track of developments in the areas of Funding, Banking, regulations of Central Bank, FEMA including the circulars and notifications and ensure timely advice and guidance on their impact to management.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Making Funds available at optimal cost at appropriate times at the location needed.
• Compliances to the various financial covenants and other Agreements.
• Timely payment of all interest and principal.
• Managing Cash Flows.
• Manage Forex Transactions including Derivatives.

KEY ACTIVITIES

Strategic

• Working closely with the business to minimize financial risk
• Recommend Policies for managing Forex.
• Reviewing funding needs, monthly reporting of all treasury activities to senior management
• Analysing and performing appropriate hedging and funding activities (Forex, swaps, loans, deposits, etc)
• Overseeing cash and liquidity management through cash flow planning and forecasting
• Provide inputs to the Leadership team on Financial implications of various strategic decisions including investments and acquisitions and pricing where relevant in consultation with CFO
• To monitor the business closely and recommend changes in the processes to optimise financing costs
• To form an overall strategy for Financing various components of business
• Keep abreast with updates and changes in the laws, keep track of notifications and circulars issued by the Central Bank / FEMA understand their implications and recommend appropriate measures to optimise Funding

Operational

• Managing treasury operations and controls (cash pooling/sweeping, forex hedging, etc)
• Preparing CMA, Quarterly and Half yearly reports
• Prepare Project Financing report for Financial Institutions
• Driving treasury-specific projects/initiatives across the company
• Preparing and presenting treasury reports to senior management and stakeholders
• Monitoring compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements
• Respond to audit queries

Relationship Management

• To maintain close liaison and coordination with Banks and Financial Institutions
• To coordinate with external agencies like Rating Agencies, auditors, IT authorities, consultants for implementation matters relating to Funding
• Maintain Close liaison with all department heads and people concerned, to understand and foresee funding needs

Audit, Compliance& Legal

• Ensure compliance with all the necessary statutory and regulatory requirements

People Management

• Mentor and provide operational leadership and technical guidance to the team, thereby developing a strong and competent team
• Conduct effective performance appraisals for the team and identify training needs
• Motivate, counsel and coach employees to ensure a conducive working environment
• Ensure succession planning for self and critical roles in the team
