Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors degree or relevant field
• 3+ years of experience in transport management (hospital or healthcare preferred)
• Knowledge of hospital protocols, emergency response, and ambulance operations
• Strong leadership, communication, and crisis management skills
• Familiar with GPS tracking, route planning, and MS Office tools
• Valid driving license (preferred)

Key Job Responsibilities:

1. Ambulance & Patient Transport Management

• Coordinate and monitor the scheduling and dispatch of ambulances.
• Ensure availability of vehicles for emergency and routine patient transfers.
• Maintain readiness of emergency vehicles at all times (fuel, equipment, documentation).

2. Staff & Visitor Transportation

• Arrange transportation for hospital staff (e.g., shuttle services, shift drops).
• Ensure transport support for doctors and emergency staff when required.

3. Vehicle Maintenance & Management

• Oversee regular servicing, repair, and maintenance of all hospital vehicles
• Ensure that all vehicles are clean, well-equipped, and meet compliance standards.
• Maintain records of insurance, registration, pollution certificates, and permits.

4. Team Supervision

• Supervise and schedule duties for drivers and support staff.
• Ensure driver discipline, grooming, and training.
• Monitor driver logs, attendance, and duty rosters.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain logs for vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and trip sheets
• Prepare and submit monthly reports on transport activities, expenses, and issues.

6. Budgeting & Cost Control

• Monitor fuel usage and optimize routes to reduce costs.
• Work with finance to manage the transport budget effectively.

7. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure all transport operations follow hospital safety protocols.
• Verify that drivers comply with hospital and legal transport regulations.
• Conduct periodic audits and emergency drills with transport staff.

8. Coordination & Communication

• Liaise with emergency, security, and operations teams for transport planning.
• Coordinate with external ambulance services during peak loads or crises.
