Transmission Line Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Analysis

  : You'll perform transmission line planning, modeling, analysis, and structural design using software like

  PLS-CADD

  ,

  PLS-Pole

  , and

  PLS-Tower

  . This includes structural analysis of various towers and poles, wire sag and tension analysis, and developing design criteria.

• Project Management

  : Plan, organize, and monitor all work activities to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget. You'll prepare accurate estimates and provide regular updates to the manager.

• Mentorship and Collaboration

  : Provide technical expertise to identify and resolve problems. You will also mentor and coach less experienced team members and participate in meetings with clients.

• Documentation and Procurement

  : Create key project deliverables such as Plan & Profile drawings, Bills of Materials (

  BOM

  ), and engineering estimates. You'll also support the procurement process by developing specifications and reviewing vendor drawings.

Required Qualifications

• Education

  : A Bachelor's or Master's degree in

  Electrical/Civil Engineering

  .

• Experience

  :

  2-6 years

  of experience. Prior experience in power transmission is preferred.

• Technical Skills

  : Proficiency in

  PLS-CADD

  ,

  PLS-Pole

  , and

  PLS-Tower

  is essential. You should also be familiar with

  MS-Office

  AutoCAD

  MicroStation

  Arc-GIS

  . Knowledge of design codes and standards such as
