Role & responsibilities

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent command of

    English and Gujarati languages

    (reading, writing, and comprehension).
  • Strong knowledge of

    official and administrative terminology

    in both languages.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in translation.
  • Good understanding of

    government formats, procedures, and protocols

    .
  • Proficiency in MS Office and document formatting (Word, Excel, PDF).
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple assignments.

Job Summary:

The Translator will be responsible for translating official government documents, circulars, notices, reports, and public communications between English and Gujarati. The role demands accuracy, confidentiality, and a deep understanding of government terminology, procedures, and language style.

Job Profile:

  • Translate company documents, circulars, Legal notices, manuals, and presentations from English to Gujarati and Gujarati to English.
  • Ensure translations are accurate, professional, and culturally appropriate for internal and external audiences.
  • Maintain consistency in terminology, tone, and formatting across all documents.
  • Work with Advocate, Marketing, and Legal teams to understand the intent and context of content before translation.
  • Review and proofread translated material to ensure grammatical and contextual accuracy.
  • Maintain a repository of frequently used corporate terminology and translation templates.
  • Handle confidential corporate information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Meet translation deadlines and support urgent communication needs when required.
  • Support various departments in preparing bilingual documents, press releases, and notifications.
  • Ensure translations are culturally appropriate and easily understood by the public.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
  • Coordinate with officers and departments to clarify context before translation.
  • Maintain digital and physical records of translated materials for reference.
  • Experience Should be able to give certificate of translation being done
  • All documents should have legal certification.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 to 25

    years of experience

    in translation work for government departments, PSUs, or public organizations.
  • Experience in translating

    administrative, legal, or public communication documents

    will be preferred.

Salary:

As per company norms / pay scale of the department or contractual terms.
