Role & responsibilities: 1. Credit Appraisal & Underwriting Assess and underwrite home loan proposals in line with the companys credit policy and guidelines. Analyze borrowers financial statements, repayment capacity, property documents, and creditworthiness. Evaluate risks and approve cases within delegated authority or recommend to higher authorities as per the credit policy. 2. Policy Implementation & Compliance Ensure strict adherence to credit policy, regulatory norms (RBI/HFC guidelines), and internal audit requirements. Monitor and update team members on policy changes and ensure policy compliance in all credit activities. 3. Team Management & Training Lead, train, and mentor a team of credit officers/executives across multiple branches. Conduct regular training sessions to upgrade credit underwriting and risk assessment skills of the team. 4. Portfolio Quality & Risk Management Monitor the performance of the credit portfolio in the assigned area – track delinquency, bounce rate, NPA levels, etc. Take corrective actions to minimize credit losses and ensure portfolio health.
