Training Specialist


The Training Specialist is responsible for developing, delivering, and scaling internal training programs that strengthen technical and professional capabilities across RedHelm. This role focuses on building a consistent, structured approach to employee development from onboarding and functional training to long-term career pathing and certification readiness.


A key focus of this role will be establishing and managing a Learning Management System (LMS) to centralize, track, and measure all learning initiatives across the company.


The ideal candidate is a collaborative learning professional with strong instructional design skills, an understanding of MSP operations, and the ability to translate technical knowledge into engaging, outcomes-based learning experiences. Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Design and Development

  • Design, develop, and implement comprehensive training programs that support both technical and soft skill development across the organization.
  • Create engaging instructional materials, including e-learning modules, videos, presentations, playbooks, and hands-on workshops.
  • Incorporate adult learning principles and modern instructional design methodologies to enhance retention and application.

Needs Assessment and Evaluation

  • Partner with leadership to identify skill gaps, training priorities, and development needs.
  • Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to measure effectiveness and ROI of training initiatives.
  • Continuously refine training programs based on participant feedback, performance data, and evolving organizational goals.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), department leads, and HR to align training content with business strategies and compliance requirements.
  • Support functional onboarding programs and career pathing frameworks for technical roles.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure consistency and scalability of training across teams.

Program Management and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate training records, progress tracking, and certification logs.
  • Develop and maintain a centralized repository of learning resources and knowledge assets.
  • Report on training outcomes, participation rates, and key performance metrics to leadership.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of managed services operations, IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, or related fields.
  • Ability to evaluate learning impact, identify performance trends, and implement data-driven improvements.
  • Skilled in working cross-functionally and building trust with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving MSP environment with shifting priorities and new technologies.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple concurrent programs, deadlines, and deliverables with precision.
