Job Description

As a Training Officer for Textile Wet Processing & ZLD Operations at our Textile Manufacturing facility in SIPCOT Industrial Park, Perundurai, Tamil Nadu, your role is crucial in enhancing the skills and compliance of employees in textile wet processing operations and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) plant management. Your focus will be on ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and operational efficiency through effective training programs. Key Responsibilities: - Identify training needs in wet processing, ZLD, safety, quality, and compliance. - Develop annual training calendars and schedules in consultation with department heads. - Conduct orientation programs for new hires and skill enhancement workshops for existing staff. - Provide specialized training on ZLD systems including treatment processes, RO, MEE, ATFD, sludge handling, chemical dosing, and water recovery. - Deliver training modules on fabric preparation, dyeing, washing, finishing, and chemical handling with an emphasis on sustainable practices and quality control standards. - Maintain training logs, attendance sheets, feedback forms, and skill assessment reports. - Monitor training effectiveness, update materials based on performance gaps, and encourage continuous improvement. - Collaborate with external trainers, consultants, or institutions for specialized modules. Qualifications and Experience: - Educational Background: Diploma/Bachelors Degree in Textile Technology, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Safety, or related field. - Experience: Minimum 3 years in training or technical operations in a textile wet processing/ZLD environment. - Technical Skills: Knowledge of ZLD operations, textile processing methods, and ETP protocols. - Preferred: Exposure to ISO 14001, GOTS, Oeko-Tex, or sustainability standards. Key Competencies: - Strong verbal and written communication in Tamil and English. - Effective presentation, facilitation, and mentoring skills. - Understanding of statutory compliance and sustainability in textile manufacturing. - Ability to design visual training aids, SOPs, and checklists. - Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of SAP is a plus. Working Conditions: - Full-time, on-site role at the SIPCOT Perundurai industrial campus. - Exposure to operational environments such as dye houses, boiler sections, and ZLD areas. - Must be comfortable wearing PPE and working with plant personnel across shifts.
