Job Description

Training & Placement Officer (TPO)

Key Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and execute campus placement drives, internships, and recruitment activities
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporates, recruiters, and industry partners
Identify new placement opportunities and sign MoUs with companies
Coordinate with academic departments for student eligibility, schedules, and placement readiness
Design and conduct employability training programs (soft skills, aptitude, interview skills, resume building, etc.)
Maintain and update student placement data, recruiter database, and placement reports
Guide and counsel students on career paths, higher education, and industry expectations
Organize industry interactions, guest lectures, workshops, industrial visits, and career fairs
Achieve annual placement targets and improve placement quality and outcomes
Handle NAAC/NIRF and other accreditation-related placement documentation

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

MBA / PGDM (HR / Marketing / Operations / Any Management specialization preferred)
Any graduate/postgraduate with relevant experience may also be considered

Experience

38 years of experience in
training & placement, corporate relations, or recruitment
Experience in a university, college, or educational institution preferred

Key Skills

Strong corporate networking and relationship management skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination abilities
Knowledge of campus placement processes and recruitment cycles
Ability to conduct training sessions and student orientations
Proficiency in MS Office and placement management systems
Target-driven and result-oriented approach

Salary

As per industry standards and university norms
Negotiable based on experience and performance
