Role Purpose

Reporting to the Training Manager to ensure compliance with Menzies training and development policy, and maintain up to date training records for the staff, and Participate in establishing the local operating procedures.

What you will be doing

  • Notify departmental heads of any non attendance on training courses by staff members.
  • Ensure that all training will be delivered by competently approved personnel within agreed timescales to meet the identified risks.
  • Ensure the implementation of Menzies Training and Development Policy.
  • Prepare the monthly training plans.
  • Produce monitoring reports showing station compliance against the training plan on a quarterly basis.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the station trainings.
  • Deliver training in the area of his/her specialization.
  • Identify the risks involved in training by liaising with subject matter experts and ensuring that any required risk assessments is carried out.
  • Ensure timely deliverer of all mandatory, operational, customer and in-house training programs.
  • Conduct an annual Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and establish an Annual Training Plan (ATP)
  • Setting out the training needs for each employee and department at their station of responsibility.
  • Delivery of sufficient training to meet the needs of the station through the annual training plan to ensure that all staff receives timely mandatory, operational, and refresher training.
  • Maintain accurate training records both hard copy and electronic for each employee showing the exact type of training that has been provided, the date it was completed and the trainers name for both classroom and practical training. The hard copy must show the date the training was completed and must also be signed by the instructor/trainer and trainee.
  • Conducting probationary reviews, coaching, and developing staff through regular appraisals in line with Company policies and Procedures
  • Ensure appropriate and accurate reporting of all accidents and incidents incurred whilst on duty via MORSE
  • Create and sustain a safe working environment and culture.
  • Ensure all staff comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and revisions
  • Ensure all staff comply with the Company safety and security standards
  • Continually challenge existing practices to create improvements in all areas.
  • Ensure that all staff are fully trained in line with our Airline operating procedures and comply with directives set by ICAA.
