Role Purpose As part of a team of technicians led by the workshop supervisor or senior technician, perform all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, servicing, fault finding, and repair on all MASIL-maintained GSE and vehicles at Mosul International Airport. Main accountabilities include: Lead/ perform scheduled maintenance as per set standards (includes OEM recommendation, safety standards, Aviation and local legislative requirements) on various equipment and vehicles to ensure reliability. Diagnose and repair the defects effectively on equipment/ vehicles under breakdown ensuring that downtime is minimized. Train and develop GSE technicians/ maintenance assistants on maintenance, fault finding and safety procedures. Ensure that the breakdown reported at ram=p are attended as soon as the call received/ within the agreed time frame to ensure any aircraft delay due to breakdown of a GSE is either eliminated or minimized. Inspect all GSE and vehicles for operational reliability & safety, to assist plan for corrective maintenance and to prevent any workplace injuries. Also, to carry out mandatory safety & quality checks of equipment/ vehicles prior to release after completion of maintenance/ repair. Identify the spare part requirements with help of OEM manuals and inform Supervisor. During planned and unplanned maintenance, identify any potential or existing and recurrent faults/ failures and highlight the same to Supervisors to initiate corrective measures. Ensure MASIL's safety operating procedures (SOP & WI) are followed by self and team during maintenance activities to prevent any potential workplace incidents. Ensure all the maintenance activities carried out during the shift are recorded in the logbook/ work order. Consolidate the details of maintenance carried in the shift and publish a shift report to relevant stake holders in the absence of Supervisor. Ensure to maintain good housekeeping in the workshop & other work areas and take proper care of tools. Perform other duties as assigned.
