Job Description

We are looking to hire an academic counsellor trainee supports students in navigating their educational journeys by providing guidance on course selection, career paths, and academic planning, while also assisting with the transition to higher education. Key responsibilities include conducting counselling sessions, and enrolments, monitoring student progress, developing personalized learning plans, and collaborating with faculty and institutions to facilitate student success and goal achievement.

Note - It Is A Full - Time Work From Home Job Role. Candidate Must Be Fluent In English and Hindi.

Responsibilities:

  • Student Counselling and Enrolments: Provide one-on-one and group counselling sessions to assist students in addressing academic, personal, and social needs and getting them enrolled for the courses.
  • Academic Planning: Advise students on course selection, major and program choices, and academic planning to align with their goals.
  • Goal Setting: Help students devise achievable academic and career goals and develop useful skills for success.
  • Student Support: Monitor student progress through grade reports and transcripts, provide feedback, and offer ongoing guidance and support.
  • Mental Well-being: Help students develop coping strategies to manage stress, anxiety, and other challenges.
  • Transition Support: Assist students in transitioning from high school to college, including guidance on the application process and financial aid.
  • Information Dissemination: Conduct informational webinars and presentations about academic programs, policies, and resources.
  • Collaboration: Work with faculty, administration, and other institutions to provide up-to-date information and support student needs.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track student progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies for academic success.

  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills for engaging with students and stakeholders.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport and strong relationships with students and families.
  • Empathy & Patience: A patient and empathetic approach to helping students navigate challenges and achieve goals.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify student needs and develop effective solutions and strategies.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and upgrade product knowledge, sales skills, and counseling techniques.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage a caseload, maintain records, and conduct administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is often preferred.
  • Previous experience in academic advising, counseling, or a similar role is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or other relevant software for data management and reporting.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹6,000.00 - ₹8,000.00 per month
