Tools Designer

As a Die and Mold Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing dies, molds, and tooling for rubber and engineering components. Your role will involve creating detailed 2D and 3D models as well as manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks. It will be crucial to ensure that your designs are optimized for manufacturability and efficiency. You will collaborate with production and tool room teams to validate designs, implement improvements, and modify existing die designs based on feedback and production requirements. Additionally, you will provide support in troubleshooting die-related issues during production and maintain organized documentation of designs, revisions, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). To excel in this role, you must possess proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and die design. An understanding of die/mold manufacturing processes and materials is essential, along with knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and engineering drawing standards. Your ability to coordinate effectively with tool room and production teams for design validation, coupled with strong problem-solving skills focused on practical implementation, will be key to your success. The ideal candidate for this position will hold a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Tool and Die Engineering. A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in die/mold design is required, preferably with expertise in rubber or polymer die design. Exposure to CNC machining and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) programming basics would be beneficial.
