Position: Geography Teacher

Levels:

• TGT – Classes VI to X
• PGT – Classes XI & XII

Location: IEM PUBLIC SCHOOL, SALTLAKE

Reports to: School Coordinator / Head of Department / Principal

Qualifications & Requirements:

For TGT & PGT Geography

• Education: Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Geography + B.Ed (mandatory)
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years teaching experience at Secondary level & senior secondary level
• Curriculum Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of ISCE & ISC of Geography syllabus
• Skills: Classroom management, Lesson planning, strong communication, use of teaching aids/technology

Key Responsibilities1. Academic Delivery

• Deliver engaging Geography lessons aligned with the ICSE& ISC curriculum.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning.
• Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
• Conduct regular assessments and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Design and administer formative and summative assessments.

2. Classroom Management

• Maintain discipline in accordance with school rules and regulations.
• Promote positive behavior and manage student conduct effectively.
• Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning.

3. Student Development

• Identify and support students with learning challenges or special needs.
• Encourage student participation in geography-related activities and competitions.
• Act as a mentor and role model to students, promoting holistic growth.

4. Co-curricular & Departmental Contributions

• Organize educational trips, model-making, exhibitions, and geography quizzes.
• Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development workshops.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers for interdisciplinary projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
