Textile Designer & Materials Specialist

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Material Development:

  Research, develop, and source

  innovative, sustainable, and recycled textiles

  (e.g., recycled silk, raffia, plant leathers, tweeds, denim).

• Creative Design:

  Design

  exclusive prints, textures, weaves, and surface manipulations

  that embody our brand DNA.

• Vendor Partnerships:

  Build relationships with

  mills, artisans, and suppliers

  in India and internationally to bring innovative ideas to life.

• Quality & Compliance:

  Ensure materials meet

  luxury-grade performance standards

  and

  sustainability certifications

  .

• Trend & Innovation:

  Monitor

  global luxury textile trends

  and integrate them into seasonal collections.

• Cross-Team Collaboration:

  Work with

  designers, pattern makers, and the sampling unit

  to translate concepts into production-ready materials.

What You Bring

• Education:

  B.Des / M.Des in

  Textile Design

  or

  Textile Engineering

  (NID, NIFT, Pearl, or international equivalent preferred).

• Experience:

  3–8 years

  in textile design, material R&D, or luxury fashion (

  bags, scarves, or accessories experience a plus

  ).

• Expertise:

• Mastery of

  weaves &surface design

  , and finishing techniques.
• Familiarity with

  sustainable & recycled textiles

  and

  LCA (Life Cycle Assessment)

  principles.
• Proficiency in

  Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop

  ; knowledge of

  CLO 3D / Optitex

  a plus.

• Mindset:
