Job Description

As a Senior Test Automation Engineer at Treasury and FP&A Technology, you will play a crucial role in defining, planning, and executing testing automation strategies for the Global Funds Transfer Pricing Application. You will be expected to lead by example, architecting robust automation frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality software. Your expertise in automation tools, agile methodologies, and quality engineering best practices will be instrumental in transforming and improving the current testing automation landscape. With an engineering-first mindset, you will leverage the latest technologies to develop efficient and effective solutions, prioritizing development skills alongside quality engineering. Your responsibilities will include defining and executing testing automation strategies for CitiFTP, monitoring automation coverage, and enhancing existing frameworks for UI, API, and data validation testing on the Big Data/Hadoop platform. You will collaborate with various teams to integrate automation into the agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), enhance regression and end-to-end testing efficiency, develop robust test scripts, and maintain automation suites to support rapid software releases. Your focus will be on improving overall test coverage, defect detection, and release quality through automation, while tracking key Quality Assurance (QA) metrics and advocating for best practices in test automation. As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will also drive the adoption of AI/ML-based testing tools and emerging trends in test automation, mentor and upskill a team of test engineers, and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the testing community. Additionally, you will define career development paths, ensure team members stay up-to-date with industry advancements, and analyze organizational trends to enhance processes. To be successful in this role, you should have 12+ years of experience in functional and non-functional software testing, with at least 5 years as a Test Automation Lead. Your expertise should include test automation frameworks and tools such as Jenkins, Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, Junit, and Cypress, along with strong programming skills in languages like Java, Python, or others. Proficiency in SQL, API testing tools, performance testing tools, build and continuous integration tools, Agile, Scrum, DevOps practices, and functional test tools is essential. Familiarity with cloud-based test execution, big data testing, database testing automation, and AI-driven test automation is preferred. A Bachelor's/University degree is required, with a Master's degree being preferred. Certifications such as ISTQB Advanced, Certified Agile Tester, or Selenium WebDriver certification are advantageous. Exposure to banking/financial domains, particularly Treasury applications, is a plus. Effective communication, diplomacy, persuasion, and influencing skills are necessary, along with a passion for automation in quality engineering.
