Testing CoE Test Manager - Vice President

As a Testing Manager within the newly established Testing Center of Excellence (CoE) at our firm, you will play a crucial role in conducting Control & Substantive testing, including SOX CCAP controls and Issue Validation processes. Your responsibilities will involve leading a team of control evaluators in performing risk/control testing and various monitoring activities across the organization. By collaborating with business units, you will identify control gaps, opportunities for improvement, and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and industry standards. Your primary responsibilities will include guiding the team in control testing and substantive reviews using a risk-based approach, navigating the regulatory landscape to define assessment strategies, and ensuring timely completion of control testing activities. You will also collaborate with other Testing Leads/Managers within the CoE to maintain consistency, provide coaching for team performance and development, and engage with business owners to enhance controls and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate for this role should have a Bachelor's degree, with preference given to candidates with a CA/MBA qualification. You should possess at least 7 years of experience in risk management, assessment, or related fields, along with a strong understanding of industry standards. Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills are essential, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across different groups and engage with internal and external stakeholders effectively. A proactive approach to problem-solving, a sound understanding of risk management frameworks and regulations, and proficiency in developing and communicating recommendations based on regulatory guidance are key attributes for this position. Experience in auditing or control testing, familiarity with control testing methodologies, and the ability to interpret legal and regulatory requirements are also required. Strong analytical skills, the ability to develop risk mitigation strategies, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools are essential for success in this role.
