Job Description

As a Manual and Automation Tester focusing on API testing, you will join our QA team with 2-3 years of professional experience in testing APIs and web applications. Your main responsibilities will include: - **Manual Testing:** Conduct manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing for APIs and user interfaces (UIs) to discover defects and ensure application stability. - **Automation Testing:** Create and maintain automated test scripts for APIs and web UIs using frameworks like Selenium to build robust, reusable automation suites for functional and regression testing. - **Defect Management:** Document, track, and handle software defects using a bug-tracking system such as Jira. Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution and re-verification of fixes. - **Collaboration:** Engage in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Work closely with cross-functional teams to grasp requirements, offer feedback on testability, and contribute to the overall quality strategy. - **Reporting:** Analyze test outcomes and deliver clear, concise reports on testing progress, defect trends, and overall quality metrics. Your skills and qualifications should include: - **Experience:** 2-3 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, encompassing both manual and automation testing. - **API Knowledge:** Profound comprehension of API concepts, encompassing HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE), status codes, and headers, along with experience in data formats like JSON and XML. - **Testing Tools:** Proficiency in Postman for API testing and hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for UI automation. - **Programming:** Basic to intermediate proficiency in a programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript to script and maintain automation scripts. - **Database Skills:** Familiarity with SQL queries for database validation and data integrity checks. - **Methodologies:** Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies like Scrum/Kanban. - **Problem-Solving:** Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with great attention to detail. - **Communication:** Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to effectively report issues and collaborate with team members.,
