Test Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing of websites, web applications, and digital content.
• Evaluate content for conformance with WCAG 2.1/2.2, Section 508, and ARIA best practices.
• Test and report accessibility issues using assistive technologies such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.
• Review and validate accessible ePub and PDF documents against accessibility standards (e.g., EPUB Accessibility 1.1, PDF/UA).
• Document detailed bug reports with reproducible steps and accessibility impact.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and content teams to help remediate accessibility issues.
• Support regression testing and validation of fixed accessibility defects.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experienced in Web Accessibility Audit and Epub Accessibility Testing.
• Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and MS office
• Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.0 / 2.1, ADA, Section 508 compliance
• Proficiency in JAWS, NVDA, Voiceover, Talkback
• Hands on experience in Web Accessibility Testing and Remediation guidance for Web, Epub and Documents  like PDF, PPT, Word.
• Creating Accessibility Conformance Report and VPAT
• Spotting Typos with proofreading skills
• Ability to understand and analyze the Specifications, Functional, and Technical requirements of a project
• Knowledge of Bug Tracking Tools like Bugzilla and ZIRA
• Good Oral and Written Communication
• Working according to deadlines for the delivery of products
• Good Communication skills and Flexible towards working and shift timings.
• Certified any of these: DHS Truster Tester or CPACC or WAS.
