Test Engineer

As a Test Engineer, your role will involve designing, writing, and executing test cases, scenarios, and scripts to ensure software functionality. You will identify and document edge cases and unexpected scenarios to enhance software reliability. Your responsibilities will also include regression, functional, UI, integration, and exploratory testing across various platforms such as Web, Mobile, and API. Key Responsibilities: - Design, write, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts. - Identify and document edge cases and unexpected scenarios. - Perform regression, functional, UI, integration, and exploratory testing. - Identify, log, and track software defects, bugs, and performance issues. - Work closely with developers to reproduce, debug, and validate fixes. - Categorize and prioritize defects based on severity and impact. - Actively participate in Agile/Scrum processes. - Ensure thorough test coverage for user stories and business requirements. - Provide clear testing status reports and communicate risks effectively. - Contribute to test automation efforts by writing basic automation scripts. - Identify test cases best suited for automation vs. manual execution. - Use test management and bug-tracking tools. - Perform API Testing and conduct performance testing. - Stay updated on the latest testing methodologies and tools. - Improve test efficiency by identifying areas for process automation. - Contribute to knowledge sharing, documentation, and team discussions. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - 3+ years of experience in manual testing with hands-on experience in test case design and execution. - Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies. - Experience working with test management tools like JIRA and TestRail.
