Test Engineer

As a Test Engineer at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in advancing the infrastructure and deployment pipelines, fostering innovation, and ensuring operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include harnessing cutting-edge technology to develop and manage robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure to guarantee the seamless delivery of digital solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Designing and maintaining hybrid Test automation frameworks with hands-on QA Automation experience. - Proficiency in Java, Selenium, APIs, BDD (Cucumber), TestNG, Eclipse/IntelliJ, Maven, Git, BitBucket, and JIRA. - Strong understanding of agile and DevOps methodologies, along with knowledge of QA processes, techniques, and methodologies. - Demonstrating solid analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and effective interpersonal and communication skills with both technical and business partners. Additional highly valued skills may include: - Experience with DevOps/CICD toolset Jenkins. - Scripting exposure using Load Runner and execution using Performance Centre. Qualifications Required: - Proven experience in risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology skills. - Ability to design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, improve testing processes, and ensure software quality and reliability. - Developing and implementing comprehensive test plans and strategies, creating and executing automated test scripts, and conducting root cause analysis for identified defects. The role is based in Pune.
