Test Engineer - Automation

As an Automation Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through automated testing. Your responsibilities will include: - Having a good understanding of SDLC, STLC activities, and agile methodologies. - Demonstrating proficiency in using any QA automation framework such as Selenium, BDD, or Robot frameworks. - Testing UIs, web applications, APIs, and mobile applications effectively. - Writing functional, integration, and regression test cases with a strong ability. - Designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automation scripts. - Experience in managing GitHub repositories and collaborating with the development team for issue debugging. In addition to the core responsibilities, you will also be expected to: - Support the manual testing team when necessary to ensure a collaborative testing approach. - Engage in learning activities and sharing knowledge within the team. - Actively participate in training sessions, organizational goals, and internal audits. Technical Skillset required for this role includes: - Coding knowledge in languages like C# or Java. - Proficiency in any Automation framework (Selenium, BDD, Robot frameworks). - Good understanding of API testing tools like Postman. - Knowledge of Azure or JIRA will be a plus. - Familiarity with performance testing and related tools such as JMeter. - Experience in backend Database testing and SQL queries. You should also have knowledge of various tools such as Selenium, Appium, API, JMeter, Postman, SQL, and programming languages like C# or Java. Soft skills that are essential for this role include: - Clear communication with both business and technical teams. - Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. - Strong logical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. - Highly motivated and a self-starter at work. - Ability to identify and refer prospective candidates. - Demonstrating awareness of individual and group dynamics.
