Job Description

As a member of the team at Micron Technology, your role will involve designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for material handling systems. Your responsibilities and tasks will include: - Designing and developing automation solutions for material handling systems, including creating detailed engineering plans and specifications for automation projects. - Selecting appropriate hardware and software components for automation systems and developing and testing control algorithms and software for automated systems. You will also be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate automation technologies into existing processes, coordinating with suppliers and vendors to procure automation equipment and components, overseeing the installation and commissioning of automation systems, and ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure. Monitoring the performance of automated handling systems to ensure reliability and efficiency, analyzing system data for areas of improvement and optimization, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and developing preventive maintenance schedules for automation equipment will be key aspects of your role. Additionally, you will provide technical support and troubleshooting for automation systems, diagnose and resolve issues related to automation hardware and software, train and support maintenance and operations teams on the use of automation systems, and develop troubleshooting guides and documentation. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining accurate documentation of automation systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations, preparing reports and presentations on automation projects and performance, and promoting safe working practices and environmental considerations in the design and operation of automation systems.
